Turn Your Heart's Goals into Reality!
January 7, 2022
Sound familiar? You set goals for the New Year with great enthusiasm: you revel in positive visions of a happy future and imagine how fulfilling it will be to have achieved your goals.
And then reality catches up with you: your good intentions evaporate like the carbonation of the champagne at the New Year's reception.
You can do better! How?
Conscious commitment mobilizes energy
Scottish mountaineer William Hutchison Murray wrote in 1951:
«Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. The moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred.»
From my experience, this is the crucial point: only a conscious decision, an unconditional commitment to my heart's goals mobilizes the courage, clarity and energy I need to realize my goals despite all difficulties and obstacles.
This fierce determination, which I perceive as ascending warmth in the center of my body, gives me the strength to overcome insecurities and self-doubt and get going on the spot - even if I do not feel ready yet. When I focus on what I want, all procrastination and brooding is nipped in the bud. And then something miraculous happens: As if out of nowhere, people and opportunities appear that I had never thought of before.
The limits of my world
In my forties, I reached a point where this strategy of unconditional commitment was no longer getting me anywhere. Although I was successful and had realized many dreams, goals and visions, dissatisfaction and emptiness spread through me, and I struggled to formulate goals worth striving for.
When a mentor pointed out that I was saying «I must» very frequently, I was concerned. Ludwig Wittgenstein described it aptly:
«The limits of my language mean the limits of my world.»
It was just like that, «I must take care of this, I must get this done, I have to take responsibility», it went on all day. There was always something I had to do, and it was exhausting. I had become entangled in the expectations of those around me, the constant demands of my job and daily life and rigid ideas about how I should be. Nevertheless, I remained inactive. Something was blocking me. If I am honest, I found this way of living quite normal at the time. «After all, life is no bed of roses!» I had heard this sentence very often.
Dissolution of outdated patterns is a liberating blow
During my coaching training, I learned about the power of Logosynthesis to dissolve blockages. As soon as I attended the self-coaching seminar, I was on fire. The training to become a Practitioner in Logosynthesis was a liberating blow and changed my life: I gradually began to dissolve painful memories, limiting beliefs and stressful fantasies, and to dismantle the emotional armor I had acquired as a child.
Since then, I literally see the world with different eyes and feel more alive than ever before. My goals have a new quality and attraction. They are based on an awareness of what my life's purpose, my why, is. «I am here to empower people to live their unique vision.»
And the most rewarding thing is that by resolving my blockages, I radiate an energy that inspires others to push their limits, live their potential and be the best version of themselves.
Try for yourself: The proof of the pudding is in the eating!
